Members of the Maryville Lions Club recently undertook a commendable initiative by donating several Disaster Preparedness Backpacks to the Maryville Fire/Police Department. These backpacks are not merely bags; they are meticulously filled with essential items that could prove invaluable should an individual or family find themselves in a disaster situation.

The recent Keep Blount Beautiful Recycling Event brought together community members and local organizations at the Blount County Courthouse parking lot to support environmental sustainability. Among the participants, a member of the Maryville Lions Club played a key role by collecting and recycling eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Last Saturday, members of the Maryville Lions Club had the privilege of volunteering in support of the riders participating in Tour de Blount, one of our area’s long-running and well-loved cycling events.



Tour de Blount is hosted by the Foothill Striders, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, outdoor recreation, community service, and enjoyment of the beautiful East Tennessee outdoors.
