Eyeglass Recycling

On October 4th, while attending a District Cabinet meeting, members of the Maryville Lions Club delivered 5,500 pairs of eyeglasses for recycling through the District eyeglass recycling program.

Club members collect and sort glasses for usability; i.e., readers and usable cases are donated to the homeless community, and frames with metal in them are sent to Respects in California for recycling. In return, the Lions receive a stipend, which is put towards our vision preservation programs.
