Maryville Lions Hit Vision Screening Milestone for 2025

This year the Maryville Lions Club has screened 2,775 children from 1 year old to 8th grade partnering with the Maryville City School System and the Child Care Centers throughout Blount County. The Maryville Lions Club leads the Lions of East Tennessee District 12N with the most vision screenings performed this year. The Club is also among the top performing screeners in the state.

What Can you do to help with vision concerns in Blount County?
Volunteer with the Maryville Lions Club assisting at one of the vision screenings scheduled in Maryville City schools and local child care centers.
Recycle eyeglasses and sunglasses. Hearing aids are also accepted for recycling. Donation locations can be found on the Lions Club website at http://maryvillelions.org/donate-eyeglasses
Donate funds on the Lions Club website.
Enjoy a delicious win/win experience by purchasing Butter Braid bread pastries or pecans on the Lions Club website.
Purchasing gas or groceries at Kroger can benefit the Lions vision programs in Blount County. Open your Kroger account and select Maryville Lions Club as your preferred charity. Kroger Community Rewards donate annually to participating organizations based on a percentage of your total spending. Other stores may have similar programs.
Best of All - Visit the Maryville Lions Club on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 12-1 pm with a brown bag lunch at 11:30 am. You will meet friendly Lions who will welcome you at the Shannondale Community Center, 1507 New Providence Road, Maryville, TN. On the 3rd Tuesday of the month there is often a guest speaker highlighted.
