The Maryville Lions Club has always been a vital force in the community. They recently participated in the Alcoa Boys & Girls Club Fall Festival. The fun-filled afternoon had 100+ children in attendance participate in games, craft activities, enjoy seasonal treats and share in lots of laughter.
As volunteers, the Maryville Lions took time to guide the children as they participated in games and crafts, providing encouragement and support and making sure they were able to participate in whatever they were interested in. The various craft tables provided the children an opportunity to be creative as they painted and colored various Halloween themed objects, made stretchy bead bracelets containing hanging charms of pumpkins, spiders, and bats. One boy said he made all of his projects for his Mom because he loved her so much - too sweet!
The collaboration between the Maryville Lions Club and Alcoa Boys & Girls Club highlights the strength of community partnerships. Both organizations are committed to the well-being of youth in their community. Whether through more festivals, educational programs, or community service projects, they are eager to explore endless possibilities for positive change.
