Maryville Lions Celebrate Christmas and Present a Melvin Jones Fellowship

At the recent Christmas party of the Maryville Lions Club, President Paulette Bailey presented a Melvin Jones Fellowship plaque and pin to member John Wills for his dedicated work in creating a new website for the club. Members John and Linda Wills hosted the party at their beautiful home high up in the mountains of Townsend. Club members brought various goodies to eat. What a great time was had by all with lots of camaraderie, delicious food and fun and challenging games like shooting stretchy finger chickens into a bucket and passing squishy toys with little plastic hands that fit on the ends of your fingers!
Other than the MJF presentation, the highlight of the party was a kazoo concert where everyone was given kazoos, divided into 3 groups and played various Christmas carols. While one group played a tune, the other two had to shout out what the name of the carol was. What a blast! At the end, the entire group played “Oh Christmas Tree” while John conducted the festivities!
